Oh there is nothing like the joy of meeting a brand new soul...and last Monday morning I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Tagg at his very first photo session. I joined him along with his super-cool parents for a quick First 48 hours session, to document the second day of life. It was such an easy session! The stars aligned with perfect lighting, a perfect baby and two of the most laid-back parents ever. Thanks so much Sean and Amber for inviting me to document this very personal time in your growing family's life.

What exactly is a First 48 Hours session? Well, this is our unique approach to birth photography. Due to hospital rules, long hours, spontaneous arrivals and many other factors, Janelle and I decided to documents babies' births the day AFTER they happen. This way it's a calmer environment. The hospital is happy. The mom has a chance to shower. Dad can take a deep breath. The dust has settled and there is time to gaze into your newborn's eyes. Yes, this is the First 48 Hours.
